Oils have been around for centuries, but we’ve only recently seen a rise in popularity over the last couple of years.
From doing some research online, I discovered that oils are great for conditioning the skin by retaining water (known as an occlusive = seals moisture), but does not hydrate by drawing in 💧 water from the environment/ product like a hydrating moisturiser cream/lotion can offer (known as a humectant). For this reason, it is suggested that you use both to make up a successful moisturising regime because they both work in different ways.
It can be worn on its own, under or over a moisturising cream/lotion, which ever suits you best!
✔️ Vegan
✔️ Cruelty free
✔️ Ethically & Sustainably sourced Squalane (Squalane mimics your skin’s natural oils and is a natural antioxidant).
✔️ Contains Vitamin C which helps improve the brightness of your face.
✔️ Smells like a bed of🌹 roses
✔️ Kind to sensitive skin
✔️ Soothing
Personally I didn’t find it very effective on its own, I’d suggest applying the oil on top of a moisturising cream/lotion as this will lock in the moisture.
I’m still unsure how I feel about facial oils after sampling this product, but one thing I will say is that it’s a good product to try out as a first time user. Mostly because it’s lightweight and the fragrance is quite subtle.
