kinship pimple potion + salicylic acid acne treatment - ⭐⭐⭐ ½
his is my first kinship product, I have three others and I got a sample kit for my sister, and I've been wanting to try this clean brand forever! This product is clean, meets the much stricter EU banned list, it is certified cruelty free, and the tube is 30% PCR and is recyclable. This is a benzoyl peroxide free (what I was looking for my skin doesn't like it) spot treatment or an all over treatment that reduces blackheads, white heads, smooths skin, irritation free and blends seamlessly.
It has:
💙 Retinol: vitamin A, improves skin's texture by increasing cells turnover
💙 Bakuchiol: plant retinol alternative, brightens and clears skin
💙 Salicylic acid (2%): BHA, clears blackheads/pores, prevents breakouts
💙 Kinbiome: kinship's proprietary plant based probiotic that supports a strong skin barrier, glowing skin
This is a tall skinny tube. The product is yellow and I don't remember it having much of a scent, if it did it fades quickly. I didn't use this all over, I used it as a spot treatment. As promised this was non-irritating, and I've had trouble with acids mixed with retinol before which is why I didn't use it all over, but I do regularly use retinol and a BHA separately so keep that in mind. This also does absorb fully and doesn't pill under makeup. At $19 for 0.53oz, this is a great price for a spot treatment
unfortunately it's just not my favorite spot treatment because it doesn't work as well as I'd like. I started using this over moisturizer and it only made a small difference, so I used it as you normally would before moisturizer and it didn't irritate my skin, but the change in the size and healing time was minimal.
