I have a hard time finding cleansers that work, and an even harder time finding chemical exfoliants that suit me, but I was in major need of a BHA cleanser. My skin is dry, sensitive, and incredibly acne prone. There were so many ways for this cleanser to go wrong for me, but I figured there was no harm in trying. I was not expecting any miracles, but I think I might’ve gotten one.
🕯 This cleanser is incredibly gentle, despite having 2% BHA, azelaic acid, niacinamide, and glycolic acid. I never get so much as a tingle, not even on freshly popped pimples.
This cleanser is actually my go to product for post-picking. It really helps to cleanse the skin of any pus and bacteria within the popped pimples to keep them from coming back, as well as relieve some of the redness and inflammation. It’s also been working great and shrinking and preventing acne altogether.
🕯 This cleanser is not drying or stripping in the slightest, I was super shocked that my skin felt soft and smooth and hydrated. It cleanses very throughly, leaves begins no film, and has a soft, low, airy foam that lathers up immediately.
🕯 Look at the photos from before and after one week of use, the results are SO GOOD.
🕯 Lastly, this cleanser is free from benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil, fragrance, polysorbates, parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, silicones, propylene glycol, PEGs, essential oils, and gluten. I won’t lie and say I know what all of that is, but I will give it credit for being the first BHA cleanser to make such drastic differences to my acne.
