Comes in a generous amount of essence, which is transparent and unscented. A lot come with the pads that I love masking with this leaving it one for a few minutes. The gauze side is very fine and physically exfoliates well, I try not to put too much pressure when I use that side, so far it hasn't irritated my skin and it really helps when my skin is textured, also great to use before applying concentrated products since I find they end up penetrating well into my skin. I like to place two pads on my cheeks with the soft side for about five minutes, some of the essence trickles down then use the gauze side to exfoliate.
