✨ This is a makeup base, it comes out of the bottle with a beigey tint but actually goes on sheer (n.b. I don’t know if it will be as sheer on darker skin tones, but this comes in only one shade). It’s liquidy and lightweight (“airlight”) and it’s basically glow up in a bottle: it’s 95% fine gold powder that reflects light from every angle for that elegant glow.
✨ I use this as is for instant glow up, just a swipe of lipstick and I’m good to go. But this also makes subsequently applied makeup last longer, and has sun protection (SPF 50 PA+++) to boot. I love the glow this gives without the heaviness of foundation (esp in summer!) and it doesn’t dry out my skin, either.
✨ Do note that this is a base and NOT base makeup so it doesn’t offer coverage — you can layer this under your foundation or a touch of concealer where you need it. Will have to try wearing this under my Neo Cushion to see if that will be a hack that transforms Matte into Glow.
✨ Costs about $28-30 for a 30ml bottle, but if you can get a bundle deal on Laneige that has this thrown in, it’ll be so worth it.
