I was VERY excited when I found out I had been chosen for this campaign. In fact, this and the cleanser that I got to try were the exact ones I had been wanting to from the different choices of this new Garnier line. The fact that this product is a “3 in 1” caught my attention right away! I am one for always piling up my serum then moisturizer and certainly SPF, so I was already sold: this product seemed perfect 🤩 I loved the thick and creamy texture and the delicious watermelon 🍉 scent, but that’s about it.
Well, to my -sad- surprise, as I applied it, it started pilling, right away. I’m like ok, maybe my skin is dryer than I thought it was (thank you Canadian weather 🇨🇦🥶❄️), or maybe my toner is not compatible with this formula, or I didn’t rinse my face wash properly 🤔🤔🤔?? Hmm, well, after different trials and errors in the following days, I learned that -unfortunately- I had been right the whole time: it does pill, period. Funny enough, I couldn’t just give up on it, I just REALLY wanted it to work for me 😩😩😩 so I tried mixing it with my regular moisturizer (which is very light: cosrx Snail All-in-one), and omg was I surprised?!?! It did NOT pill at all!!! I don’t know how, but I cracked the code for it so I’m finally able to use it 🙌🏼 Please note, I did not layer them, but instead I MIXED them and applied them.
Bottom line: I was sad and disappointed at this product by itself, but I’m glad I found a way that I can actually use it and benefit from it.
