I received this product for free from @go.picky & @skin1004official in exchange of my honest review.
Actually, I've been using this ampoule for two weeks & more. What I really like about this ampoule is, it can provides hydration & leaves my skin feeling calm. It doesn't aggravate my skin & is neither too heavy nor too light. Goes great under my moisturiser & sunscreen. This is a pretty large bottle & you only need a little, so it'll last quite a while.
š¼ Packaging
Comes in a round, heavy glass jar & has a dropper that dispenses just the right amount.
š¼ Texture
This ampoule is lightweight, clear & a bit syrupy like gel base, but not heavy. The white granules or capsules of Madecassoside (the Made White from Centella asiatica) suspended in the serum makes it look a bit like a white beads & is quite fun to use. They can be felt for just a few seconds before melting away. The ampoule absorbs nicely & it feels good on my skin. I find it quite hydrating & it leaves my skin feeling soft.
š¼ Scent
There's no noticeable scent with no artificial fragrance or essential oil.
š¼ Personal Experience & Thought
This is a good ampoule that works very well with my skin. I have been dealing with oily, dehydrated & acne-prone skin for a couple of years.
This ampoule can be used for both AM & PM, depending on my routine. Simply wash, tone & use as part of my ampoule or serum step, then moisturiser & SPF in the daytime.
This ampoule is a combination of several skin-friendly, soothing, hydrating & brightening elements: 77% Centella Asiatica Extract (first ingredient & known to be soothing, calming); 4% niacinamide (B3) known to help balance out sebum; a couple of stable forms of vitamin C & it's a great antioxidant; 2% Tranexamic Acid helps prevent & fade the look of several types of skin discolorations. Because of the lifecycle of skin, it can take up to a few months to fully see results. This ampoule is intended to fade discoloration or hyperpigmentation, not to treat active acne. After 2 weeks of use, I haven't noticed any tone brightening at all, but I do notice that this ampoule can calm & soothe the redness on my skin.
My skin has more of a glow now. It's taken a few weeks & I will continue to use it to see if I can get it looking a little better, but I would say it's doing what it said it would.
This is especially good for those with combination-to-oily skin, acne-prone (the niacinamide), sensitive skin (fragrance-free). I found this to be mild enough for my daily use. I prefer to use this in the AM after cleansing & toning. The ampoule has good spreadability & melts into the skin. Doesn't make me feel oily or greasy. I love the way this product makes my skin look, but it leaves a little sticky residue behind. But once I continue with the moisturiser, there's no stickiness. Not the most moisturising, but I apply my face cream or moisturiser shortly after in my routine, so it doesn't matter. Feels hydrating & I'm thrilled with the performance & its quality.
I also appreciate how lightweight this formula is & feels good once it absorbs into my skin.
I've used a few products from SKIN1004 & this ampoule is my number one favourite in this brand.
The only downside is, I can't bring this huge bottle with me because the packaging is made from the glass. Eventhough glass is rather gorgeous of a material for packaging, more attractive & posh-looking, but it's quite a hassle because I need to extra be careful with it. The main reason behind the problems of using glass is that this material isn't actually durable & quite fragile in terms of impact. If not treated carefully, the whole product can be wasted due to a single crack.
