It did, but not enough, and I thought it smudged the makeup more than it melted and removed it. But it's nice for quick use, fits in the bag, if you're traveling it's a good to go

As I said, it didn't clean very well, it smeared the makeup more than it cleaned, especially in the eye area, mascara and eyeliner didn't come off easily
