Does my face look cakey?!
And guess what? It smells like vanilla frosting too.
I thought I'd treat myself to this cute mask cause it's my birthday next month. What would be more fitting than this creamy cutesy goodness?!
Let's look at the ingredients, shall we?
My personal highlights are:
Glycerin, Kaolin, Glacier Water, Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide 3, Olive Fruit Oil, Allantoin.
So we have humectants, some happy aging friends (b-day number 42 is around the corner, guys!) and some soothing skin barrier support, along with the cute look of birthday cake frosting with sprinkles.
When applied, the sprinkles stay intact, but they're rounded, so there's no harsh feeling or a noticeable peeling effect as such.
The (partly recycled, partly from FSC-certified forest) carton it comes in says to leave it on for 5-10 minutes, but of course I left in on longer. I need that and there's nothing wrong with it.
My experience:
I love how smooth this is, the spatula has a cute design and is big enough to spoon the mask out of its baby blue tub.
The smell is very vanilla, like frosting, but as gentle as vanilla soft serve. This is coming from someone who is really picky with scents, especially vanilla. -Very yummy!
When rinsed off with lukewarm water, the mask dissolves nicely and leaves behind moisturized and plump skin.
There's no weird greasy or silicony layer like with some other masks, though. I'd say it's perfect for a pampering session at home after a stressful week at work. Also: awesome b-day present... Just saying... πππ
So, if you're into the cute look, but want quality too, this is a good pick. It's also vegan/cruelty free, so yay!
Love.
