Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50+

product review positives
🧡 Sponsored? No 🧡 Texture: White in colour & it has an in-between consistency of a lotion & a thin cream. Once fully rubbed in, it doesn't feel like you have anything on at all ! 🧡 Fragrance: I can definitely smell a musky baby powder scent to it. It's not strong & does fade away quite quickly. 🧡 Main Hero Ingredients and claims: (Don't worry, I won't list all the long scientific names because frankly, I can't even spell them myself 😂 But I'll list the main ones below) - Tetramethylbutylphenol 4%w/w : sunscreen filter that is half physical & chemical based. - Titanium Dioxide 3.4%w/w: one of the best physical sunscreen filters. - Dimethicone: a silicone used to create a smooth texture & it may also be found in some scar treatment creams. - Silica: to absorb oil for a more matte look. 🧡 On my dry & sensitive skin: No reaction at all even though the product had perfume in it. The first time I tried it, I had my full hydrating routine on & I started looking oily after a couple of hours. Upon re-application, there was a bit of pilling. I'm not sure if oily skin beauties would enjoy this sunscreen as much as me though. So I re-tried it with a less hydrating routine where I used a lighter serum & a much thinner moisturiser. It worked well this time, no oiliness & no pilling after re-application this time 🥰 My skin is on the fairer side & there was still a subtle white cast after rubbing it in. Definitely not suitable for darker skin tones unfortunately. However, I quite liked the slight cast as I'm prone to redness & it helped to even out my skin tone. True to its "dry touch" claim, even at the end of the day, my skin felt smooth & soft. While it was matte, it wasn't drying! 🧡 Packaging is very nice and it played on the "dry touch and smooth" feeling of the actual sunscreen as the tube gave a similar feel in hand. Plastic tube with a recyclable logo on it but nothing on the plastic cap. 🧡 Repurchase? Yes, this is one of the better hybrid sunscreens I've tried. Gave me a "tone up" look, high UV protection & can pick this up at most shops for an affordable price.
product review negatives
May not suit darker skin tones as it does leave a white cast.
