🌾Papa Recipe "Blemish Serum" ($25) is a deeply hydrating gel that uses the power of 10 Hyaluronic Acids & Galactomyces that provide nourishment to the surfaces above and below. Evening out rough/dull patches--it blends texture and soothes the skin.
The bottle size is quite generous for the price point. The listing claims it is the largest, and I agree! I've never seen such a big bottle of a serum before, you get A LOT of product to play with.
The Blemish Serum can be used all over or as a spot treatment like I've been using it. I personally don't get a lot of acne/blemishes but I do occasionally get hormonal acne and spots due to stressors.
I also have a lot of open pores, so this has been great for minimizing them. Even if it's all cosmetic, I still like that the serum has been making my pores less noticeable. Especially when I use it under foundation.
🌾Another feature is the brightening effect, it claims to decrease the look of a lot of issues (fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, redness, dull skin, etc) by lightning the area to decrease attention. This serum also helps calm mild problematic skin and the flaking around the eye, nose and mouth.
One pump lasts enough for the whole face and neck--so, I definitely will be using this bottle for a while. Lol Absorption is amazing, it's deeply hydrating, has zero fragrance and it gives you a rather nice glow upon dry down.
🚫I will suggest for those who are skincare naive--keep this as a night time routine!! Try to stay out of the sun or you'll risk sunburn. It contains a lot of fragile ingredients that may trigger such a reaction, so be warned! Stay out of the sun or lather up with sunblock!
🌾One thing I noticed, this blemish serum is not a traditional acne treatment with harsh exfoliants or acids. It uses filtrated fermented Galactomyces (a nutrient dense yeast found in Sake.) which is mineral/amino acid/antioxidant-rich. The same ingredient in most high-end and low-end brands around Korea & Japan. (Take SKII for instance, their whole company is based solely on that yeast!!)
⭐Fun fact: Scientists in the 1970's discovered by chance that aged Japanese sake brewers have amazingly soft and youthful hands in contrast to their aged and wrinkled faces. They concluded that the secret must lie in the yeast that the brewers’ hands were in constant contact with during the sake fermentation process.⭐
🌾All in all--This serum is ideal for the aging skin. With the powerful cocktail of Hyaluronic Acids & The Fermented Sake Yeast--you'll expect baby soft skin and minimal pore sizes...but only prolonged use shall tell! 5/5
