I was actually part of a group that got to try this & the Vitamin C + Tumeric Oil for free, before it was even available anywhere, years ago though when it first came out! I LOVE the formula, very gentle but also effective! Did not purge my skin too bad, evened out & brightened my skintone, while also smoothing out any "texture" on my face! VERY happy with the results, only downfall w/ S.R. products are the general prices! HOWEVER, with that being said, their products, like many high end brands, when used as directed, last much longer than JUST 1 month!! Overall, this was definitely a great working product with a good score on EWG! I also think that this would be great for a beginner or regular user like me! The retinol serum itself doesn't have a particular smell to it, is thin in consistency & has a light yellow tone to it! It absorbs fantastically & doesn't leave my skin greasy at all! I use this in the evenings & in the morning I switch it up to my "Miss Spa Clock Stopper Bakuchiol Serum"! On a personal note, even though I do love this product, I do find that there are many alternatives with a cheaper price tag with the exact same benefits! But, if I do see it on sale anywhere then I will pick it up!!! I would recommend this product, but only if you don't mind the price!
