Just like its name, this toner has texture like an essence. It has subtle natural licorice scent. This type of toner is a bit thick and feels slippery when you apply it. Takes a while to fully absorb.
For a.m routine, 1-2 layers is enough for my normal-combination skin, while at night I usually apply 3-4 times. My skin feels more supple and quenched afterwards. For those with dry or dehydrated slash irritated or acne-prone skin and need a straightforward non-irritating toner can definitely check out this Mugwort Cica Essence
Since the texture is pretty viscous, it can sometimes get a little foamy on the palms, I suggest using only 1-2 drops for each layer. It feels tacky after multiple layer meanwhile 1 layer doesn't deliver enough hydration🙂 Besides, my skin raves for more soothing effect than what it offers
