Surprisingly very hydrating for a gel moisturizer. Goes on thick and leaves a dewy finish. Smells really nice.
EDIT: I have been using this everyday since the summer season has started, and it has been working really amazingly! I didn’t really like this product before because it would leave my skin too dry and then lead to more irritation and breakouts. However, while trying it again during the summer, when my skin is less prone to dryness and dehydration, this gel moisturizer has worked very well!! It is both moisturizing and calming! I still need a little extra moisture for my dry skin, so I usually layer this with a hydrating sunscreen, but it is awesome as a day-time moisturizer.
I have a lot of acne with a lot of hyperpigmentation. Whenever I used this product, I would feel my skin heating up a little and becoming a little red. It never helped to calm down my redness or irritation. It might be that the formulation of the centella asiatica is too irritating on my skin. I’d like to try this product again when I don’t have so much acne.
EDIT: After trying this again during the summer months, I can say that it is no longer irritating or drying!! The only downside now, would be that it is still probably not enough to use alone for dry skin (during the summer, you may still need hydrating toners or serums to help your skin).
