I don’t remember using this ingredient as I never had acneic skin even as a teenager. Fortunately this cleanser is well balanced and not harsh on my skin. It did not cause any irritation nor stripped my skin which is what I was most afraid of. It has a very clean scent to it that I like. Imagine a “fresh from the shower” scent. I only have occasional acne so I still alternate this with my other gentle cleansers. I would focus this on my problem areas like my chin (congestion) or where the blemishes are.
