Love Derma E and love that they offer some of their products in 2 sizes so we can try new products easily and affordably. I got the smaller size of this serum to try. It’s a really lightweight serum and it soaks into the skin well. Suitable for day or night routine, or even both. Plays nicely with all other ingredients and products I have used it with. I do like the way it has been making my skin look and I love the ingredients. I’ve been looking for collagen, peptides, and retinol/vitamin A as ingredients on my products a lot more now that I’m getting older and seeing fine lines and wrinkles. I think it does actually help with the appearance of fine lines.
It’s heavily fragranced. The fragrance doesn’t last long, luckily, but that initial burst of fragrance when you first dispense it is a bit much for me. Fragrance is listed as the last ingredient so I really wasn’t expecting it to be as strongly fragranced as it is. Also, if I ended up getting this product too close to my delicate eye areas, it would irritate those areas on my face and make them dry and flaky. No other areas of my face though and I haven’t experienced that with any other products, so I’m not sure what it’s due to, possibly the fragrance. I think I’ll be moving on and looking for another peptide serum that works just as well without the fragrance, but I would repurchase this serum if I didn’t find another one that I thought worked well.
