The ingredients here are so amazing — five different ceramides, cholesterol, oils with nourishing fatty acids, and other great components — and they’re exactly what the skin needs in order to maintain a healthy moisture barrier. A healthy moisture barrier will prevent so many other skin issues that people frequently struggle with, so a product like this is a good investment. I’ve tried a couple of other cult classic products (Stratia Liquid Gold and Krave Great Barrier Relief) that are formulated with the moisture barrier in mind, but I think this is my favorite as far as user experience goes. It doesn’t have the odd smell that Great Barrier Relief has and it doesn’t leave a yellow-orange stain on my pillows like Liquid Gold sometimes does. This serum has a creamy yet lightweight texture. It absorbs quickly and easily without leaving the face looking or feeling greasy.
While I haven’t noticed a drastic change in my skin since starting to use this, I think this is mainly a product to use if you want to maintain a healthy moisture barrier rather than something to use for extremely noticeable differences. Can’t say how well this works for repairing a damaged barrier since I haven’t been using it for that.
