I received these products for free from Picky and Isntree in exchange for my honest review.
This essence contains a total of 8% alpha hydroxy acids: 4% lactic acid and 4% glycolic acid, along with soothing extracts like purslane, cica, aloe, licorice root, green tea, chestnut, camomile, HA and panthenol. Lactic acid is known for being a gentler version of glycolic acid because of the higher molecular size, therefore it doesnt penetrate as deep into the skin layers so its less irritating.
✨ My experience:
Hands down the most gentle AHA I have ever tried. I stopped using AHA since December 2021 because I thought my skin just can’t handle them. It always used to sting so bad and I ended up with irritations and weakening my barrier almost every time. Considering my past experience, I was honestly scared af to put this on my face.
After applying it for the first time, I could not believe I had not a single sign of irritation, no stinging and no redness at all. 😱 My skin tolerates this so well!! I’m very happy I can finally use AHA without side effects. I need more time for the results to be visible but so far so good. Even though it was very gentle, I still use it just once a week. You can gradually increase the usage up to 2-3 times a week.
You must try this one if you are new to AHAs or if you have sensitive skin that has a hard time dealing with acids! Highly recommend it! 🤍
