Pure 15% Vitamin C E Ferulic Acid Serum

product review positives
🍋Vit C is a powerful antioxidant that can help neutralize free radicals and therefore supports the protection your sunscreen's providing against UV-damage and vice versa. It helps your skin regenerate and accelerates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to plump and firm your skin in the long run. Another benefit is its power to heal blemishes faster and to brighten your complexion. 🌭The only downside is, that Vit C/Ascorbic Acid is not very stable, it oxidizes and is photosensitive. -Stabilized forms lose some of their antioxidant power, though. Also, some people might experience irritation when using it in a high concentration. -And then there's this hot dog smell and the tackiness... it's a struggle. ☀️So here's a serum I can recommend: @hsgn_korea Pure Vit.C E Ferulic Acid Serum comes in a dark glass bottle and a small amount of 15ml to keep it fresh and some soothing and hydrating ingredients (Panthenol, Beta-Glucan...) to make is less sensitizing, even with 15% of L-Ascorbic Acid and a pH of 3 to 3.5. To support the wellaging and brightening benefits, there's Gluthanione, Adenosine, Vit. E and Ferulic Acid. That really helped me against redness and hyperpigmentation... Also, the smell and the tackiness were brought down to a minimum. It smells a bit "salty" but the smell dissipates quickly. I keep it in the fridge and I love the results after almost 2 months 🍭Btw: apparently, this is an affordable dupe for the Skinceuticals Serum... just saying...
product review negatives
Hm... due to the pure form of Vitamin C, it's recommended to keep in the fridge and to use it up within 8 weeks, I already mentioned the smell and the tackiness (but this just comes with L-Ascorbic Acid and can't be prevented I guess). Also, the low pH might be a problem for sensitive skin...

Oily/Sensitive

Seriously thank you for your really honest and helpful review. As I’m kinda new to vitamin C as it’s only been in my creams. This is definitely a more concentrated form of vitamin C and I’m ready to finally add this to my routine as my sensitive skin has become more tolerant after the 3 years of really focusing on my skin barrier. Thanks again and I’ll definitely try this out 🧡🍊🧡
