This Serum immediately caught my eye with its interesting and non-typical mix of ingredients in an Ascorbic Acid Based Serum. CosRx state that in order to make this Serum friendlier to sensitive skins, they developed this product to have maximum effectiveness with minimal irritation. Aside from the high percentage of Vitamin C, there are other brightening ingredients here as well as some skin calming products and oils.
The before and after picks were taken roughly a week apart. The first photo was taken a few days after I began use (you can see the breakouts). However there is no denying that in the after picks, there is improvement, both in skin texture and pigmentation.
I will definitely continue use and hope to continue with the benefits. Overall, itโs worth a try considering the results Iโm already seeing.
Now, due to the emollients in here, this serum definitely has a sticky/tacky feeling. You just cannot escape it. The best way to reduce this, is to apply the serum right after cleansing, wait a few minutes and then continue with my usual routine. Otherwise, no matter what, even after moisturizer, I will be let with a sticky feeling.
On my combo skin, this serum feels a slightly dewy look, so I can recommend this to combo to dry skins. Team oily, I have a feeling this isnโt a good option for you in the summer.
Athough this didnโt irritate my skin, I did experience some purging within the first week of use. You can see that from the photos.
CosRx recommends that you use this product as soon as it arrives and store it in the fridge immediately after opening. The PAO is also just 2 months - which is fine if you intend to use it daily.
