I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review. I was super excited to try this one out as we’re just moving into our cold winter months here in Auckland NZ.
✅ fragrance, alcohol and essential oil free - everyone, especially great for those with sensitive skin and allergies to those ingredients! Do keep in mind that there are a lot of plant extracts, none of which appear to be common
allergens
✅ lightweight and watery gel texture especially for a sleeping pack which caught me by surprise. It glides on a spreads across the skin and leaves a very dewy and hydrated finish on my combination skin - did not feel like I was suffocating my skin. This would be a great option on those colder nights in spring or autumn
✅ left my skin feeling hydrated in the morning - more on this in the negatives section below
✅ for those who care about packaging - it’s super aesthetic and looks premium from the box to the bottle itself
❌ whilst hydrating, for my skin, it was lacking that richness or emolliency that make up a large majority of sleeping packs out there. I tend to think of sleeping packs as more rich and occlusive moisturisers and this one deviates from that. After a few minutes, a majority of the product is absorbed, but it leaves a slightly tacky and sticky finish which some may not appreciate. To overcome this, I finished with a very light layer of facial oil which compensates for the perceived lack of emoliency and moisturising factors.
