Little fact about the brand name: ‘efil’ is life backwards plus ‘ow’ taken from slow. The brand’s philosophy is to take beauty slow and treat it as a journey of self discovery. I like it!
Calming Mindfullness Sheet Mask
Efilow wants us to use this sheet mask as a moment to focus on self care at the end of the day. It promises to soothe and calm irritated, sensitive skin with the inclusion of ingredients such as Tea Tree Extract to help with oil and moisture balance and Lotus Extract to protect and purify.
I like that the sheet mask comes in a lined paper package and found the material to be soft and soaked in essence. While I did find this to be nicely hydrating, the scent was perfumey and strong. There’s no artificial fragrance but there is a long list of flower extracts. Combine those with tea tree and it’s enough to stop me from purchasing this sheet mask as the smell really hampered my enjoyment.
As mentioned above, the scent was just too strong for me, it reminds me of an ‘aqua’ type perfume and while I’m not anti fragrance I feel like a sheet mask is the wrong place for it.
