Very thick and not sticky

It stinks, it tastes horrible if it gets in your mouth. It feels like Vaseline to me. I've been trying to get through it and have used it several times over a few weeks. not once have my lips felt moisturized in that time. No idea what it is, but it causes a tickle in the back of my throat and makes me cough.
