Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

product review positives
𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: reduces the looks of spots and hyper-pigmentation. It's used at a high 2% concentration versus a standard concentration of 1% and supported with a next-generation form of Hyaluronic Acid for enhanced delivery. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: •alpha arbutin is skin-brightening and depigmenting agent, a derivative of hydroquinone •hydrolysed sodium hyaluronate moisturises the deeper layers of the skin and helps retain moisture •gentle lactic acid has amazing skin hydration properties and lifts off dead skin cells 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: •evens out skin tone •tackles acne scars •increases skin’s hydration •repair the skin and it’s barrier 𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: ✅: as a POC, I’m always on the look for a product that’s gentle enough to help fade my stubborn scars without irritation. Not only did this serum deliver that, but it also helped my dry skin tackle dehydration. I love the combination of alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid - it’s a two in one! I’ve been using the alpha arbutin for two months and I’ve noticed my cheeks brighten and the scarring around it start to fade. It never irritated my sensitive skin and would actually help strengthen my skin barrier. I could easily use this over any active breakouts, unlike ascorbic acid which could have lead to further irritation. As long as I see results, this is definitely a keeper in my routine.
product review negatives
❎: there is a slight sticky/tacky residue once you’ve worked the serum on your skin - I always like to apply this on damp skin which does help the tackiness, yet it still remains. Once I have applied moisturiser, I can no longer feel it, yet if you are looking for a product that’s more comfortable when you apply it, I would avoid this. The results are really slow. This isn’t a quick fix or as effective as my vitamin c. Overall, I still do like this serum for long time use in my routine, but I would like something perhaps a bit stronger/effective to help with my acne scars at the moment.
