This is light cream that aims to sooth and calm the skin. I was enticed by the ceramides and the "barrier" aspect of the cream and hoped for a thick moisturSe retention balm, but the consistency is quite thin - a little goes a long way. It applies very easily and can leave the skin looking shiny, so I prefer to use this at night a few hours before I go to bed to allow time for absorption. Despite the thin consistency, this cream is really moisturizing. My skin peels/pills up when I use a heavy physical SPF but I haven't had this issue since I've started using this at night! I think this is a simple non-irritating moisturizer that works great for those with normal/combination skin like myself.
