[Review: Neogen Dermalogy Cica Repair Snail Essence]
I received this product for free from Picky and NEOGEN in exchange for my honest review.
đź’ś tl;dr: May Repurchase
âś… Hydrating and Lightweight,
âś… Soothing
❓Fragrance-Free, though has sweet smell
đź’ś Price Point: ~USD$20 | 100ml
đź’ś Key Ingredients: Snail Secretion Filtrate (96%), Centella, Raspberry Extract
đź’ś Texture and Performance:
First, the purple packaging of this one is so pretty, and the pump is slightly larger than the COSRX one, which makes it ever so slightly easier to pump out.
This snail product is really similar to the COSRX Snail Mucin Essence, though I found it to be ever so slightly thicker than the COSRX Essence, though both have the same stringy texture which I am quite a fan of. However, performance wise, I think these two products deliver very similarly in terms of hydration and ease of absorption, which I really enjoy!
The one from Neogen has a much longer ingredients list, with centella being another main ingredient in addition to snail mucin. However, while I couldn’t identify any fragrances or essential oils present, the Neogen snail essence does have a sweet smell to it, which I didn’t quite like.
đź’ś Verdict: 3.5/5
Overall, this was a decent snail essence, though personally I still prefer the OG Cosrx snail mucin essence, as I didn’t quite enjoy the scent of the NEOGEN, and it is slightly more expensive than COSRX. However, this product is still a really decent one ingredients wise, and a good introduction to snail mucin imo!
