I bought this after deciding that my AM skincare/makeup routine was taking too long (close to an hour for a no-makeup look is just embarrassing.) I’ve used plenty of bb cushions before but this is my first full coverage one. I wanted something with a solid spf that could easily be reapplied while also providing enough coverage where I could turn off the Zoom blurring filter. Extra marks for long lasting coverage.
This cushion fits the bill! I’m really happy with the medium coverage; photos below show clean face (1) and after 8 hours of wear (2). This is shade 21; there are two progressively deeper shades available.
The formula blends easily and a little goes a long way. It’s an spf 50 (chemical) so there’s no cast. I use a buffing brush to apply it since for me the cushion dispenses too much product. However, because I’m not using that much, I’m also using another spf underneath.
Another plus is that this cushion seems pretty easy to obtain, at least in the US. Stylevana sells it for an unbelievably low price (around $5) but I bought for $10 from Amazon since I wanted it in days, not weeks. Buying it from Missha will run you $20 and I believe yesstyle and many others offer it too.
I didn’t find any negatives personally, however for folks that prefer a mineral spf or are sensitive to chemical spf might not be into it. Folks that are more melanated might have color-matching issues since the deepest shade is still pretty light considering all the various skintones in the world.
