I purchased this product at a deeply discounted rate through Style Korean's Ready, Set, Glow program for my review.
This is my very first time trying out a cushion and while there was one very large downside, overall I was really impressed! I have been eyeing the cushions from Moonshot for a while now and ultimately settled on the Micro Correctfit. This cushion boasts a high SPF and PA rating, as well as brightening and anti-aging properties and is considered a high coverage finish, yet lightweight product. I am so impressed with the application and overall feeling of this product, giving complete coverage and giving my skin a totally blurred and smooth look. I seriously felt flawless wearing this. The Micro Correctfit Cushion gives a satin, velvety finish and once it’s dry, it really doesn’t budge much. I did not attempt with setting spray or powder but this product did not rub off easily, though it did deposit some product on the inside of my tight-fitting mask. My favourite part though? The packaging is so, so beautiful. I’ve been holding onto the box because the aesthetic and “just arrived” space man is out of this world! The sparkly compact is exactly my vibe and I really appreciate the mirror inside for touch ups on the go. The puff is easy to use and I absolutely love that you can purchase refills for the cushion (keep in mind that only the Micro Correctfit refills fit in this container.
This cushion comes in three shades: ivory, beige and honey. So here’s the major downfall – I am pretty pale but even with picking out the shade “honey”, it was still at least a shade or two lighter than my skin tone. It’s not terribly obvious if I were to wear a sweater and it might be a decent enough match in the winter, but without those conditions, this unfortunately doesn’t work for me. The lack of shade range is disappointing considering how much I love the formulation but this cushion is a very viable option for me this winter when my face will be a bit lighter complexion. Overall, I’m pretty content to have this in my wheelhouse.
