I have been using this ampoule in my nightly routine for about a month now since I received it in my August Picky box and I do find it very hydrating and soothing to my skin. It contains noni fruit extract, ceramides, squalane, allantoin, and rosemary oil. It is a gel like texture and spreads well over skin. It does not feel heavy or oily on skin, nor did I experience any irritation or dryness from it. It has a bit of a cooling effect when you apply it, probably due to the rosemary oil, which does feel nice. It does feel ever so slightly tacky directly after applying, but then absorbs nicely into skin. It plays well with other products and does not pill. It brings down the redness in my cheeks due to rosacea, which is nice. I’m always looking for products that reduce redness. I haven’t seen any long term effects from using it, but I do think it’s a good choice for a hydrating serum for sure. The dropper is unique, different from a regular serum/ampoule dropper, as it’s automatic and you just simply push the button on top to dispense the product onto your skin.
The only negative about this ampoule is the smell. If you are sensitive to fragrances, I’d honestly just avoid this one all together. I find myself not wanting to use this because it has a very strong rosemary smell that’s pretty overpowering. It does go away after it is applied to skin and has dried down, thankfully, but just opening the bottle to use it is enough to give me a slight headache some nights. I’m not sure if that’s done on purpose to cover the smell of the noni (noni fruit is known for having a pretty bad smell) or what. Because of this, I will not be purchasing this one again.
