As the proud owner of dehydrated combo-to-dry skin, I'm not really the target customer for clay...but...let me start with mask 1: the gorgeous Lemon Niacinamide Glow Wash Off Pack in a glass jar.
The clay base is made of Kaolin (primarily), Bentonite, Montmorillonite (a silicate clay with a fancy name), plus minerals/sillicates (Magnesium Aluminum Silicate and illite).
So far, so good. Now, Miss Niacinamide enters along with some humectants, lemon peel powder, Betaine, Citric Acid, Peach Extract and Vitamin C (3-O-Ascorbic Acid).
This is what makes this smooth mask hydrating, wellaging & brightening while exfoliating and drawing impurities out. A few blackheads I keep getting in my nose area were gone after this mask. Gone.
I love how it feels on the skin, the smell is subtle but lemony fresh (fyi: it contains a bit of fragrance) and the result is clean, lightly exfoliated, glowy skin without it being stripped or dry.
So if you feel like clay masks can be a bit harsh/drying for you, but you still want the benefits of clay: this is a good alternative to try.
