The Fig Srub Mask was a freebie from my last wishtrend purchase. It's a suger scrub that promises a double exfoliator that gentle dissolves dead skin cells. It contains fragrance, but no alcohol.
This contains black sugar, sweet almond seed meal & walnut shell powder for manual exfoliation. The fig powder is by 1.2%, fig is antioxidant rich & can enhance hydration level's.
There is also Sucrose which has water binding properties. It contains caramel as colorant & artificial fragrance.
This is the smaller size & it comes in a tube with 31g, the full size has a glass jar packaging. The texture is thick & you can feel the sugar between your fingers. The scent is straight up caramel sugar.
I didn't want to review this because I hate it. But I want to be really honest & I want review products that worked for me & products that didn't work for me, but I never hated a product as much as this one.
First of all I'm generally not a fan of manual scrubs. They are abrasive & my sensitive rosacea skin doesn't like stuff like that. But since I had it & I normally like I'm From products, especially all the other mask, I wanted to give it a fair shot.
Oh boy, I but it on my skin & I felt the sugar bits right away, then I've tried to rub it in between my fingers to break up the sugar & melt them a little, which kind of works. The. I left it sit on my skin 10-15 minutes & rinsed it off. The rinsing & manually scrubbing to get the sticky mask off left my skin super red & irritated, but soft as well.
Therefore I intended to use the rest on my knees & elbows.
One last notice if a brand makes a mask likes this at least but some soothing ingredients in & extra hydration.
It left my face irritated and red, their are no soothing ingredients to combat any irritation. Also artificial fragrance shouldn't been it their as we, this can course even more irritation. This is one of the worst products I've ever used
