Through another platform, I was sent the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink Lipstick to test and review and wow, what a lipstick this is! ❤️
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧?
The Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink promises an intense, glossy color that lasts for 16 hours, without transfering or staining. One of it's ingredients is Aloë Vera.
The color I was sent is no. 25, which is called Red-Hot, a beautiful, bright, bold, vintage-like red color with a slightly warmer undertone that matches every skin tone and gives you an instant glamorous retro feeling.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠:
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful, modern and convenient packaging. The color of the packaging corresponds to the color of the lipstick, which is super convenient! Underneath the cap, there's a neat looking and very precise wand applicator. The tube is quite large and bulky, but beautifully designed, and despite it's size, it still feels good holding it and fits in a (larger) handbag or make-up bag. The bulky shape makes it easy to stack multiple tubes and makes it easier to find the tube in a make up bag full of products.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭:
This lipstick has about the most pleasant and most wonderful scent I've ever occured in any makeup product! It's absolutely delicious!
𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥:
It's a super pigmented liquid lipstick with a very high opacity (and therefore a lot of color!), a very good coverage and with a very pleasant and rich, creamy texture that glides over the lips without giving it much effort. It's lightweight formula feels very comfortable, but a bit sticky while applying and wearing the lipstick. Applying the lipstick is easy, it goes on smooth and fast, thanks to the convenient and very precise applicator located underneath the cap. You just shake the tube for 5 seconds before use, apply the lipstick and voila! Perfect red, glossy lips! 💋
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭:
After application, my lips feel soft, hydrated and moisturized, without feeling dry. This lipstick feels really comfortable on my lips and my lips look really beautiful, full, shiny, wet and seductive, thanks to the nice wetlook gloss layer it provides. When I'm wearing this lipstick, it's giving me a very glamorous, seductive and sexy feeling, like I can take on the whole world! 😁
The lipstick does remain sticky for quite a long time and although it is truly long-lasting, even when you eat or drink, the inner edge of your lips should be touched up again after a few hours because the color is not nearly as persistent as on the outer edge from the lips. It also continues to transfer for quite a while, because it stays wet for so long, so make sure you don't kiss your partner for the first few minutes! 😉 And make sure to check your teeth for lipstick stains before you go out! 😉
Furthermore, this lipstick doesn't leave any clumps, doesn't get flaky and is easy to update or reapply when necessary. Also, it's hard to remove, you have to remove it with make-up remover because removing it completely is not possible when using only water.
𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧:
In summary, I think this lipstick definitely is worth it! I absolutely love the modern design of the tube, the fantastic color, the beautiful glossy shine, the creamy texture, the very high coverage, the rich pigment and that amazing, heavenly scent, but I don't really like the fact that it remains to feel sticky for so long and that it takes quite some time to dry completely. That's why I give this lipstick 4 stars instead of 5! However, I truly love it and I plan to buy more shades soon!
