First things first: What are peptides and why would you want a serum like this in your routine?
Peptides are amino acids that make up proteins. There are tons of different peptides in skincare:
šSignaling peptides
work to stimulate new collagen and elastin production.
šEnzyme-inhibiting peptides
block the enzymes that break down or degrade collagen.
šCarrier peptides
deliver minerals to the skin that are essential for specific processes like cross-linking collagen and wound healing.
šNeurotransmitter-inhibiting peptides
help to reduce wrinkle formation.
šWhy Iāve been loving the 6 Peptide Complex Serum:
This serum contains 6 (poly-)peptides from the different categories above to target signs of premature aging. Among others: Copper Tripeptide-1, one of my faves for wellaging:
Itās a carrier of copper which is a critical component involved in the formation of enzymes/antioxidants that help with collagen production.
In addition to humectants that bind water and help hydrate the skin, it contains Arginine and Adenosine.
Arginine helps build skin collagen & hair keratin (thatās why Iām using this on my scalp as well) and Adenosine helps with regeneration and (wound) healing.
This is a very focused and no-frills wellaging serum which is so lightweight that it can be used by any skintype (please adjust the rest of your routine accordingly). Free of fragrance, EOs and alcohol. It just needed a bit of consistent use, but then:
glowing, firmer skinā¦
I canāt think of anything bad about this product. Maybe that itās not for those who are searching for a complex serum that has it all, itās really focused on peptides, humectants and 2 supporting anti-aging ingredientsā¦
