I received this sunscreen along with 2 new Cosrx retinol products for free through a Try Me Review Me promotion thanks to Stylekorean and Cosrx in exchange for my honest review.
This sunscreen provides SPF50+ broad spectrum protection and is enriched with Vitamin E and silica to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It helps regulate excess sebum production for a matte finish with no white cast. It was nice to have a sunscreen product included in this promotion, especially since the use of retinol makes your skin more sensitive to UV rays. You should always use a retinol product during the evening and ensure you use a sunscreen of at least SPF30 during the day.

My Experience: This is a “reef-friendly” broad spectrum sunscreen which features the antioxidant Vitamin E, to help reduce free radicals, reduce visible signs of aging and skin damage.
The sunscreen filters in this product are older formulations, allowing it to be sold in the US (all 4 sunscreens are US FDA approved). It has a very thick, creamy texture but it does go on easily, providing a glowy, slightly shiny finish on my skin. I have dry skin, but I think it might be too much for oily or combination skin, because of the shine, even though it claims to provide a matte finish. It is very hydrating so some people could probably skip moisturizer after applying this sunscreen.
It does not have that “elegant” feel of other sunscreen formulations, I find this has a much thicker consistency and is a little sticky. It is not my preference vs. other Asian sunscreens but it is still easy to apply despite the thick cream consistency.
Since it is a chemical sunscreen, it does not leave a white cast on skin, but the scent is quite overpowering. It would have been nicer without this particular added fragrance, like a strong cologne.
Cosrx is one of my favorite brands and I love most of their products, but I probably would not purchase this sunscreen, since there are so many other SPF products I prefer over this one.
