Benefits of Figs for skin:
The phytonutrients and presence of vitamins B & C found in figs have an antioxidant action, contributing to the youth and firmness of the skin. The anti-inflammatory properties present in some components of this fruit, help to prevent inflammation such as acne, balance sebum production, skin melanin, & prevent epidermal water loss . This increases hydration and keeps the skin free from wrinkles and premature aging by promoting collagen production. It can also be used as a treatment for hyperpigmentation, reduces formation of spots and improves skin complexion.
š My thoughts
This scrub mask has 1.2% fig powder and black sugar acts as a double exfoliator which gently removes dead skin cells & impurities to achieve a clearer and smoother skin. Black sugar granules are fine & non abrasive, not irritating to my sensitive skin, light yet very moisturizing & hydrating after washing off. No detectable strong scent and zero fragrance. Best leave it on your face for 10 mins that gives a double peeling effect. You can also gently massage your skin in a circular motion to let it works deeper while purifying your pores. My skin felt velvety soft and radiance thereafter. However, not a physical scrub I will always reach out as it leaves an oily film on my skin after removing it. I like my skin feeling fresh and still moist yet not greasy after a scrub mask. I ll finish up this product using it on other areas that prone to dryness/roughness like my foot, legs, hands & elbow, even underarm after shaving to prevent ingrowth hair. Suitable for all skin types especially those having dry, flaky & dehydrated skin.
