The Boots Ingredients Retinol Night Moisturiser doesn’t indicate the percentage of retinol that it contains. It just says that it contains retinol and retinyl palmitate. It also contains dimethicone and shea butter, so you may want to steer clear of this if you don’t like those ingredients.
I haven’t had any adverse reactions so far, and I know that it may take months before I see the full results. However, I noticed that my complexion has started to even out. I used to have much darker skin on my face than on my neck, despite my consistent use of sunscreen. I guess the retinol has started to work with my other brightening skincare products.
This retinol moisturiser is also inexpensive at 7GBP for 30ml of product. If you’re on a budget, or just starting out, this is a good choice if it’s available in your country.
Overall, this is a pretty solid product that’s worth a try if you’re curious about retinol. If you’re already a veteran retinol user, it may be too gentle for you.
