APRIL SKIN - Skincaria review for Carrotene Clarifying Serum

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘗𝘙𝘐𝘓𝘚𝘒𝘐𝘕 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺! 🔹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 Beta-carotene that fights off bumps, blemishes, and troubled skin. Niacinamide soothes redness and improves the look of uneven skin tone and dark spots. Hyaluronic Acids and plant oils hydrate the skin and calms irritations. 🔹 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 + Absorbs very quickly + Helps active pimples + Prevents acne +/- Helped texture somewhat - Not much hyperpigmentation improvement - Strong, lingering scent 🔹 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 Small hard plastic pump bottle. The bottle isn't fully filled, there is a piston on the bottom that pushes the product up. Has a light lotion like consistency. Does have an earthy scent. Smells like a strong carrot vitamin drink. Scent lingers a bit after application. 🔹 𝗠𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 The scent is pretty strong. I'm not a fan but after a while I got used to it. The consistency is not what I expected of a serum. Although it's more lotion-like, I found it to absorb into my skin extremely quickly. This serum works very well for active pimples, to the point they dissapeared the next day. I also feel like I've had less acne than usual. However, I don't find that it helped much with hyperpigmentation. The dark spots my acne left behind didn't disappear quicker. This helped my forehead bumps a bit, but I actually hoped for more. APRILSKIN promotes serum layering, so I decided to layer their Calendula Resurfacing Serum with this. This combination is for pore and texture problems. And I do have to say, my face has never felt so soft. A great combination, though the Calendula Serum was leading the way in this relationship. On its own I think it's pretty great for acne-prone skin.
