PROS
I am currently in love with Nacific's sunscreen, the counterpart to this giveaway so I was curious to see how well these lip balms would shape up. I have a long history of having dry lips and now that winter is in full swing my lips are in serious need of extra hydration, moisturisation, and all that good stuff. Let me also caveat my review with the knowledge that I have tried MANY lip balms and only a few have passed my very high benchmark on what makes a good lip balm good.
Below I have set out the key factors that I take into consideration regarding lip balms;
1) does it relieve my dry lips and instantly hydrate and moisturize them?
2) does it stay hydrated throughout the day or will I need to reapply?
3) how often would I need to reapply in one day?
4) does it improve the overall health of my lips?
In answer to my last question, which is the most important benchmark, unfortunately this lip balm did not improve the health of my lips. In fact, due to constant reapplication throughout the day, my lips actually got worse. So overall, I will not be recommending this product as a hydrating lip balm for those with lips on the drier side. However, if you don't have extremely dry lips like I do, then this lip balm may work well for you. I'm just sad it didn't work out for me, but every skin is different!
