Bakuchiol Timeless Bloom Revitalizing Serum
Quite intriguing new launch by @purito, right? This was my first time using bakuchiol, so much to share!
Thank you @Purito and @go.picky for sending me this new gem to test and review.
🔮Key Ingredients:
- Bakuchiol - 1% Bakuchiol derived from the Ayurvedic Babchi plant helps refine pores, improve firmness, and smooth the look of fine lines and uneven texture.
- Peptide - The Peptide Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 improves elasticity on newly formed fine lines and helps to enhance skin texture.
- A blend of natural herb extracts helps to improve skin elasticity.
- Betaine - moisturizes the skin and acts as a protective film.
- Allantoin - calms sensitive skin, providing comfort and balance.
🔮Texture:
It has a milky, thicker than the usual serum consistency. It absorbs surprisingly quickly when applied on the skin. It's very gentle, feels light on the skin, no tackiness.
🔮My Experience:
Bakuchiol is an ingredient believed to be the substitute for retinoids. They say that if your skin does not tolerate retinoids, when used constantly Bakuchiol can actually do the same for your skin.
Personally, compared to retinoids, I think this serum can be used more to prevent, rather than to correct signs of aging. Regardless, whatever your choice is, when it comes to well - aging ingredients, consistency is key!
This serum didn't cause any irritation to my skin, it's very gentle just as it claims. I use it in my PM routine and it the morning my skin is soft and bright. I'm happy with the results so far, however I will have to use it for a way longer period to see if it will help me with fine lines.
🔮What I don't like: the dropper (the pipette). When I first saw it I was quite impressed, but actually it is very inconvenient. I have to pump many times before I get enough for my whole face and neck.
