I use this every morning, sometimes night when Iβm not using retinol. At first use, I felt tingling and itching but no redness or flaking. I remembered when I used the The Ordinaryβs Azelaic Suspension, it gave a similar experience, but as I continue to use this product the tingling and itchiness disappeared. After a month of using it religiously, I noticed my acne healing faster and becoming flat, a more even skin texture, and lightened my blemishes. Now, I only use it when I have new acne to help target and heal.
Oh did I mention that this is pregnancy safe? Yes!! A lot of soon to be moms use this in replacement of retinol. That's how safe and effective this ingredient is.

I noticed that my skin really loves azelaic acid in general. I didnβt experience any negative reaction from it. Though keep in mind that when you start to use azelaic acid it could be the cause of pilling when applied with other products. My tip is to wait for 5 mins or so before applying the next product. You could also switch to using light texture moisturizers after. Overall, I definitely prefer this one over the TOβs. This is a bit on the more expensive side but it is really worth it.
