I love all the Neopharm brands, so I was over the moon to try Real Barrier’s new Porebium line. I received all four products - Powder Wash, Cleansing Foam, Peeling Toner, and Waterlock Essence. Designed to remove dead skin cells and clean out pores, the line is aptly named since “bium” means emptiness in Korean. To empty out those pores, all of the products use Real Barrier’s 4Acidzyme complex which includes 4 acids - AHA (citric acid), BHA (salicylic acid), PHA (gluconolactone), LHA (capryloyl salicylic acid), and an enzyme (protease). To balance out the formulation, all products also contain madecassoside, ceramide NP, and glyceryl glucoside (glycerin and glucose) to soothe and moisturize.
Powder Wash is a dry powder, but after you add some water all the powder dissolves and it foams up into a light lather. Do not worry about this being a physical exfoliant on top of a chemical exfoliant because the powder really does dissolve. And there’s some allantoin in the formula too for added moisture. I found this to be a super refreshing cleanser.
Overall I enjoyed the entire Porebium line. Since they are exfoliating and I have combo skin that leans dry in the winter, I won’t be using them everyday. But I will use them a few nights a week to help keep my skin clear!
