Product: Rom&nd Bare Water Cushion in the shade #23 Beige.
I received this product from Rom&nd through their spoiler review event where I was one of 20 random lucky winners to try out this new cushion.
Can I just say how excited I was for this product to arrive? The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and not too bulky. Everything about this cushion is what I was searching for. This cushion is part of @romand_en first vegan line which is exciting to see more cosmetic brands turn to.
What I love about this product: this cushion has transparent water base that gives my skin that dewy, glass skin look without any greasiness. I love when my makeup products are also skincare products because this cushion has that moisturizing effect that doesn’t leave my skin feeling cakey or dry. It has a very lightweight feel and is sheer coverage which is perfect for me since I don’t usually wear much makeup anyway. After applying there is no sticky finish or irritation.
As with all dewy foundations, there is some degree of transferability but that’s nothing a little setting powder can’t fix.
The product claims to have a moisturizing effect for over 48 hours - something which I am pretty skeptical about but I’m not going to test it out for that purpose since that’s not how I wear cushion foundations and there would be no point lol.
Overall, this is a pretty great cushion foundation and I love the look of it after application. I would say that I’d purchase another one with my own money for sure. I score this 4/5, only because of that fragrance.
What I did not enjoy about the product: the fragrance. Holy moly the fragrance is strong. I don’t mind it as much since it dissipates throughout the day but this would have been the perfect cushion if not for that fragrance. Unfortunately as with all korean cushion foundations, there are not that many shades available, especially for darker skin tones.
