Firstly… centella?! Who doesnt love centella? For a mineral sunscreen, this spreads pretty well. After setting down, it has a satin look, and admittedly, a non-greasy feel.
Smells pretty mineral-y? It’s an unpleasant metallic-zinc smell that sticks on your face for a while.
On my dry-combo skin, this just feels icky and greasy for the first 15 minutes post-application. It does set down after a little while and feels a bit better—I’m just not that patient enough. Hours later, the zinc in this is drying. You can only imagine how much more unpleasant it would be post-app if I applied moisturizer underneath to compensate, so I’m basically left in a dilemma of disappointment. Oh, and this creases in my eyelids and sinks into fine lines.
As far as white cast goes, I honestly think this would not be fun for more melanated skin. I’m olive-white and this provides somewhat of a tone-up effect on me. I can let that slide, but don’t even think of using this for re-app because the cast builds up.
