I was hoping that this moisturizer could replace my favorite cream from Clinique, but…it's good in a different way.
First and foremost: this moisturizer calms, soothes and just feels amazing on skin. If you have oily skin, I think you would probably love it.
Also, it goes really well with the retinoids (such as differin in my case). Repaired my skin barrier but there is one downside here🥲⬇️
Unfortunately, it broke me out. My skin is acne prone and usually I tend to get cyst/pustule types of acne but with this moisturizer I had a lot of whiteheads and blackheads. I suspect shea butter, since this ingredient is quite controversial for acne prone skin (as I see on some people with acne it works fine). LRP also puts shea butter in Effaclar series (which is oriented on acne) moisturizer and it is very questionable for me personally. The only downside for me😪
