🌱 Application: This is a thin, watery serum; almost more like a toner if it weren’t for the concentrated ingredients. It absorbs quickly, and mixes easily into other water-based skincare.
This product is another one of those support stars. It can’t do a whole lot more than add a bit of hydration on its own, but it augments other skincare in a way that really makes it stand out. The ingredients in this help skin hold on to moisture and penetrate deeper than when used alone. I find my skin hydration lasts longer and stays plumper when I add this to my routine.
Those who say “This does nothing” are probably using it on its own, where it can’t enhance and highlight another good product. This baby was designed to be mixed and layered. Try adding it to your favourite moisturizer or serum!
🌱 Packaging: This is packaged in The Ordinary’s standard brown glass bottles with dropper. It is UV safe, and somewhat protected from oxygen.
🌱 Accessibility: Can be somewhat difficult for those with poor hand dexterity, but the benefits outweigh the downfalls.
🌱 Sustainability: By using standardised bottles, TO reduces product cost and makes them more easily recyclable. You can even return your empties directly to the store!
🌱 Overall: This is a very affordable add-on product that will turn an average moisturiser into a great one, and a great moisturiser into a holy grail. I recommend it for most skin types, but especially those with dry or dehydrated skin.
