This is the first matte-finish sunscreen I've ever tried. That’s because I personally prefer the dewy-finish ones before since I’m obsessed with that glowy after look. However, as an oily-skinned girl, dewy-finish sunscreen tends to make my skin appear oilier at some point. So, why not try and explore more?
When I first used this sunscreen, I was in awe. It does really live up to its claims. It’s lightweight, easy to blend on skin, and doesn’t leave any trace of a white cast. I also noticed a hint of cooling effect when you applied this to the skin. As for its claim to reduce the appearance of redness, yes, absolutely, it does the job! I love how it leaves a powdery matte finish. It helped control the oiliness of my skin. Compared to the dewy-finish ones that I’ve used, this certainly takes more time before I can notice that my skin starts to oil up. Not to mention, this also leaves an instant tone-up effect after application, plus no stingy feeling at all. However, I might have mentioned a lot of pros; of course, I also noticed some little changes as I used this in the long run. Apparently, I started to experience peeling on the area around my mouth whenever I used this one. It happened during the cold season here in our country, which is the time when my skin tends to be dryer than usual. I’ve done skin prep and moisturized my skin, but I still get the same results as if I continued using it.
But now that we're in the summer
period, I don't experience any of this at all. I guess some changes are inevitable since our skin adapts to the environment too! Overall, it's a comfortable sunscreen for everyday use. I like how it helps me with my skin concerns while providing the sun protection that I need.
