Skin Profile:
Combination skin with a drier U-Zone area and an oily T-Zone, enlarged pores, temperate semi-humid climate (Central Europe). Currently adjusting to use of Retinal twice a week. Product has been in use for roughly a month.
Packaging:
This LRP comes in a small, rectangular plastic container with an unscrewable cap on top from where the product dispenses. It's advised to shake the product before each use and there seems to be some sort of shaker/object inside to help with keeping the product's consistency stable. The plastic is hard and sturdy. This sunscreen retails for upwards of 30CHF in most Swiss pharmacies.
Texture:
The fluid itself is a creamy off-white colour and extremely runny on the skin. It has a watery consistency that is easy to rub and spread on your skin and dries down very quickly to a silky, velvet finish (see pictures).
Pros:
• Easy application to skin with a pleasant, non-greasy finish. The runny fluid means it'll get to most places on your, even the hard to reach areas.
• Does the job on protection; Weather has been hit or miss lately where I live, but on Sunny days my skin felt adequately protected from the skin.
• Nice, subtle scent.
• Truly invisible finish. There are no indications that I ever had the sunscreen on to begin with after it dried down.
Cons:
• Runny viscosity makes this sunscreen a bit messy to use as it easily slides down your fingertips.
• It dries down extremely quickly, which means you need to work very fast to get all of it on.
• Contains Denat. Alcohol (and very high on the list at that!) and fragrance, so sensitive skin and people who dislike alcohol in their products may have to be wary.
• Not ideal for on the go; As mentioned under texture, the fluid is extremely runny, which gets messy really quick. I don't recommend this sunscreen to people who are on the move a lot or lead an active outdoor lifestyle, a sunstick would be more ideal there.
• Very pricey.
All in all, I would say this product is quite good for what it does and I recommend it to those looking for something that is subtle and doesn't leave a greasy finish, even on oily skin, though I would say there are cheaper alternatives like Garnier that are just as good. 30CHF is a high asking price.
Verdict: Expensive!
