Now that I’ve used these a few times, I can confirm with 100% certainty that these are not lip oils, they are lip tints. They are exactly like the Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tints I have, but I like this formula a little better. The tint is bolder with these and they have a minty feeling to them. The tint also lasts for quite a long time! It lasts through hours of wearing and even eating and drinking. I’m pretty impressed. Once it is applied, the only transfer is the glossy part of it and the tint stays on your lips. The glossy part of it does not last as long as the tint, but you can apply a clear gloss over it to add back shine and moisture.
The shade affection is a beautiful berry color that’s perfect for me, as darker lip colors tend to look best on me.
I wish Rare Beauty would have just called these what they actually are and released them as a lip tint/stain and then later on also released a lip oil as well. I’d buy both! I’m not sure if this was just a marketing strategy since lip oils are popular right now or what. But please don’t buy these expecting an actual lip oil.
