Cerave Hydrating Mineral BODY Sunscreen
✅Pros:
- Readily available
- Economical for the price (USD 17.99)
- Spreads easily
- High spf content (50)
- Not indicated as waterproof but cannot be rubbed off easily by water or perspiration
- Reef safe because it is 100% mineral sunscreen
- No annoying sunscreen fragrance
- Not greasy
❌Cons:
- absorption takes time (15 min wait
- Major whitecast so not for photo ops (or wait for it to sink in first)
- Pretty hard to remove (may need deep cleansing oil/ soap)
- application because you have to spread on your body by rubbing in and waiting for 15min before sun exposure ( i usually use spray sunscreens because of ease of application)
🤔💭Overall Rating: 3/5
🏖️I initially hated the whitecast from both products but after waiting for 15minutes, as indicated in the directions, the whitecast somewhat lessened and my ghostface was bearable.
🏖️Mineral sunscreens usually have whitecasts because they actually block the sunrays instead of screening them, like physical protection for the skin.
🏖️But hey, I realized the whitecast can also effectively determine if you missed applying spf on some parts of your face and body. I guess avoid photo ops while waiting for it to set? lol.
