Finally, my thoughts on the controversial...
COLOURETTE First Base Everyday Skin Tint
...not weighing in on the stupid drama, my thoughts are purely what I felt/observed or experienced using the product .
Who the heck am I?
- a PROFESSIONAL in the realm of beauty who uses and tests products for a living even before "content creation" was coined. I'm in my 40's with fine lines and huge pores, combo skin but lately leaning dry and dehydrated.
OK now for my thoughts...
π
- has skincare INGREDIENTS like Titanium Dioxide (physical UV filter), Glycerin, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate and Dimethicone but I wouldn't count these as a proper skincare routine and would still use a sunscreen underneath
- it has a light to medium skin like coverage that isn't too matte or too shiny. It's lightly buildable that I can skip concealer
- doesn't cling to my dry patches, break, separate or pill over layers of skincare products
- feels just like a moisturizer, doesn't feel stuffy, comfortable and didn't dehydrate my skin as the day went on.
- I tested this when my skin was healing from redness and irritation but it didn't aggravate the condition.
- showed consistent finish and performance with different sunscreens/primers/powders and other makeup product for all the 7 days I wore the product
- no bothersome fragrance
- great shade range with different undertones
π€
- I like the nozzle tip but this could pose a spillage problem later on
- it's called a Skin Tint but behaves like a foundation
- just the right price point for it's quality. I would actually pick this over an overpriced tinted moisturizer that's just aesthically packaged π€£
- I didn't expect this to last the whole day but it does a decent job
π
- white cast on flash photography
It's not perfect but it does a better job than most. So with my tampo aside, (from a customer service incident) I gave this a fair shot and would have to congratulate Nina and Team Colourette for a great one!
